Ricardo Gonzales married Juanita Valdez on July 1901, in Trinidad, Co. To this union there were 8 children born, Fidel, Cicila, Eva, Albert, Eloy, Josephina, and Jose'. His wife Juanita died during child birth due to the flu, both baby Jose' and Juanita are buried together in Garcia Cemetery. Ricardo then married Aurelia Jaramillo on July 1920, Ricardo worked at the Trinidad Brick and Tile yard and the couple also ran the local grocery store which had one gas pump, Aurelia died on Jan 18, 1940 and was laided to rest in Trinidad Colorado. Ricardo later married Amada Gonzales-Valdez and the family moved to Denver where Ricardo retired from the Denver Post as a worker in the Press room. Amada moved to Sacramento California following Ricardo death and lived with her son until her death in 1964.
