"The Funeral for Diane G. Liskow was held Friday at Community Presbyterian Church in Plainview, with the Rev. Paul H. Moore officiating Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery, Plainview. Mrs. Liskow, 61, of Plainview, a retired Elgin-Millville schoolteacher, died of cancer Tuesday (Nov. 6, 2001) at her home. Diane Grace Fisk was born on Dec. 7, 1939 in Winona, to Millard L. and Mekia R. (Thielke) Fisk. She attended Plainview Community Schools and graduated from high school in 1957. She attended the University of Minnesota for three years and then Winona State College, from which she received her degree in elementary education. On Dec. 26, 1960, she married Lyle H. 'Boots' Liskow in Plainview. He is a retired teacher and athletic director of the Plainview Community Schools and is currently employed at Schleicher Funeral Homes. Diane taught Kindergarten at Elgin-Millville schools for 26 years, retiring in 1992. She was Elgin-Millville Teacher of the Year in 1973 ... Survivors include her husband, Lyle 'Boots' Liskow of Plainview; a daughter, Lori Ane (Mrs. Chris) Lock of Plainview; and one grandson, Colin Lock. Her parents preceded her in death.
