While in Missoula she met and married Elmer C. McGee. In March 1934 with their first son they moved to Fort Peck, Montana and were among the first working on the Fort Peck Dam. They had to live in the tent towns during the early construction period but later were able to move to Glasgow. When the Fort Peck Dam was completed they moved back to Missoula with their two sons and for a time operated a service station on the west side of Missoula. In 1940 they moved to the State of Washington where Elmer worked at the Bremerton Navy Yard during the Second World War. They lived in Indianola until they returned to Missoula in 1944. While in Missoula, Beatrice worked for J.C. Penny's.
In 1945 Beatrice and Elmer were divorced and she then moved to Helena with her two sons. Beatrice married Robert F. Karlin in 1945. They lived in Helena and she was employed as a bookkeeper at Gambles for several years and later for Western Life Insurance. In 1954 they moved to Elmo and operated a restaurant on Flathead Lake. In 1968, Beatrice and Robert were divorced. She then returned to Helena to live by her son Troy and his family. She was employed at the Highway Department in the Preconstruction Bureau until her retirement in 1977. From 1977 until 1991 she made Eagles Manor her home.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and a brother, Phyllis Pacheco, Katherine Sorkness and Elwood "Bud" McSloy. She is survived by her two sons and their families.
