SUSANNAH F. ASHBY
LOS ANGELES, California, January 2--Mrs. Susannah F. Ashby, 89, a resident of Utah for more than 80 years, died Thursday morning in Los Angeles after a two weeks illness.
She was the widow of John J. Ashby.
Mrs. Ashby was born in Galand's Grove, Iowa, February 3, 1851. She was brought to Utah by her parents while still an infant.
Prior to moving to Los Angeles six years ago Mrs. Ashby lived in Salt Lake City, Holden, Millard County; Fillmore, Salina and Loss Creek, Emery County.
Surviving are two sons, John W. Ashby of Burley, Idaho and J. Herbert Ashby of Salt Lake City and two daughters, Mrs. Julia Waggoner of Los Angeles and Mrs. Blanche Shaw of Aurora, Sevier County, Utah.
