Clara Bergerud, 89, 320 E. Vernon, died Thursday, Nov. 20, at her home.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 24, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls, with the Rev. Robert Nedrud officiating. Burial will be in the Aastad Cemetery near Fergus Falls.

She was born Dec. 3, 1896, in Aastad Township, one of seven children of Christen and Kari (Brevig) Bergerud. She was baptized and confirmed in the Aastad Lutheran Church. She attended School District 119 and lived on the family farm in Aastad Township caring for her parents.

In 1959, she moved to Fergus Falls. She was employed by the Pioneer Home for six years, later becoming a sitter at Lake Region Hospital. She had been cared for in her home by a niece, Alice Rund, who has lived with her for some time.

She was a former member of the Aastad Lutheran Church, where she was a member of its choir and ALCW. She was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran CHurch, its ALCW and belonged to the church's "very special person program."

Survivors include several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from noon to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Olson Funeral Home and also at the church one hour prior to services.
