Born in Pickens County, he was the husband of Ann Pressley Babb and the son of the late Thomas Ozell and Georgia Alice Scott Babb.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII, and he retired from Milliken after 34 years.
He attended Westview Baptist Church.
He is also survived by his daughter, Judy Smith and her husband, Dennis; two sons, Robert Babb and his wife, Theresa, and David T. Babb; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Sara Martin.
He was predeceased by a son, Kenneth S. Babb.
Funeral service will be at 3 p.m., Sunday, June 8, 2008, at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest Chapel, with burial in Graceland West Cemetery.
Visitation will be 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
