Funeral services for George Dolivar Gentry, 56, of 843 West 7th Street were held Monday afternoon at Sycamore Church of Christ.
J B Gaither officiated. Burial was in Crest Lawn cemetery; Hooper & Huddleston were in charge.
Mr. Gentry, an employee of Wilson Athletic Goods, died Saturday at Cookeville General Hospital following an extended illness.
A native of Jackson County, he was a son of the late Hickmon P and Harriet Loftis Gentry. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Emily Gentry, Cookeville; a daughter, Miss Fredia Lounell Gentry, Cookeville; five sons, Dalton, Tommy Gene, and George Danny Gentry, all of Cookeville; Gillis Gentry, Detroit; and Cecil Edwin Gentry, US Army California; two sisters, Mrs. Lona Chaffin, Gainesboro and Mrs. Lillie Hawkins, Cookeville; and three brothers, Abner Gentry, Cookeville; Lottie B Gentry, Baxter; and Herby Gentry, Detroit.
