Annabel M. (Borowy) Dailey

Annabel M. (Borowy) Dailey, age 80, of Fairview, passed away on Saturday, June 19, 2010 at Saint Vincent Health Center. She was born in Erie on July 27, 1929 a daughter of the late Joseph and Helen (Kretz) Borowy.

Annabel graduated from Erie Beauty Academy and had a beauty shop in her home many years ago.

She enjoyed dancing, horseback riding, bowling, sewing and was an avid reader, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Dailey in 2000, a brother Chester Borowy, and two sisters, Sally Grygier and Jeanne Tuznik.

Annabel is survived by a son James B. Dailey, wife Janiene, of Chapel Hill, N.C. ; a daughter, Pamela R. Dailey of Saegertown, Pa.; seven grandchildren, Adam, Thomas and Jacob Dailey, and Maxwell, Olivia, Veronica and Isabel Lang. She is also survived by two brothers, Charles Borowy, wife Louise, of Sunrise, Fla., and William Borowy, wife Mimi, of Pompano Beach, Fla.; a sister, Jeanette Borowy of Erie; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Brugger Home for Funerals, on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and may attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 10 a.m. at Holy Cross Church, 7100 West Ridge Rd.

Entombment in Mary Queen of Peace Mausoleum.
