On the 1920 census, it shows middle initial as an F. On his son, Woody's marriage record, it shows as Francis. On his Social Security application is the first time the M appears. Also, he is in the 1900 US Census as having been born in October, 1899.

Woodie Montgomery, 49, of 108 Valley Street, died suddenly Friday afternoon while at Work.

Mr. Montgomery, a former resident of Dublin, had been associated with the state highway department for the past 19 years.

Funeral services are being held at 2 .p. m. today from the Vaughan-Guynn chapel, with Dr Ryland Knight officiating. Interment will follow in the Dublin cemetery.

Mr. Montgomery is survived by his widow, Elizabeth Montgomery; two sons, Ray and Erbie, of Pulaski; one daughter, Mrs.,, Howard Raines, of Pearisburg ; one grandson; five brothers, Ellic and Hosie Montgomery, of Sylvatus, Donnie Montgomery, of Dublin, Cecil Montgomery, of Hillsville, and Dexter Montgomery, of Sparta, N. C.; three Sisters, Mrs. Bessie Alderman and Mrs. Hannah Webb, of Hillsville, and Mrs. Osie Cochrane, of Deepwater, N. J. Pallbearers will be Troy Quesenberry, J. L. Baker, E. C. Eversole, 0. P. Maxwell, Johnny Pinkard and W. D. Bohlken.
