Sadie Williams Rich, of Pooler, GA. passed away June 20, 2010 at Memorial Hospital at the age of 90. She was born in Tattnall County July 30, 1919 to Malcolm and Lizzie Coleman Williams. One of her Cherished Memories is when she and her twin sister played basketball for Collins High School and winning the Division Championship in 1938-1939.

Sadie and her late husband Mack Rich and children moved to Savannah in 1952 and to Pooler in 1956. She was employed by Union Camp Paper Corp. for some years. She was a member of Rothwell Street Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death in addition to her husband, sisters, Eleanor Whenn, Glady's Collins, Jackie Prince, and brothers, Herman Williams, Paul Williams.

She is survived by three daughters, Betty Seay (Wayne) of Pooler, Lynette Manning (James) of Tybee Island, GA. and Linda Rich Mason of Greenwood, S.C.; three sons, Malcolm Rich (Brenda) of Orlando, FL., Hugh Rich (Rose) of Pooler and David Rich (LeAnne) of Savannah; her twin sister, Madie Ivey of Dundee, FL.; brother, Delas Williams of Reidsville; seven grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation: 6 – 8 pm Tuesday June 22, 2010 at Fairhaven Funeral Home.

Funeral Service: 11:00 am Wednesday in the Chapel of the Funeral Home with Rev.Devin Bell and Rev. Travis Cowart officiating.

Interment to follow at 1:30 pm at Conners Baptist Church Cemetery in Cobbtown, GA.
