Miss McVickers Dies at Age 57
Miss Ruthelma McVickers, 57, of 8028 Maple, died Wednesday.
She was born in Ashland, Kan., and had lived in Wichita since 1957, moving here from California.
She graduated from Wesley Medical Center School of Nursing in 1930 and was a registered nurse. She had been supervisor at the Ashland, Kan., hospital, served with the Cerro De Pasco Copper Corp. Hospital in La Oreya, Peru, two years, and had been employed by the Hollywood Presbyterian Hospital and Cedars of Lebanon Hospital, Los Angeles. She was employed by Wesley Medical Center at the time of her death.
Survivors include a sister, Mrs. A. E. Carson, of the home. Cochran Mortuary has charge.
