"On Oct. 3, Canfield native William Lawton Arnold passed away. He was the beloved son of William K. and Audrey L. Arnold of Canfield. William also had two sisters, Sally and Mary Jo. A graduate of Canfield High School, class of 1962, Bill excelled in sports and academics. He earned tri-County honors as Canfield's quarterback and attended Buckeye Boy's State. He was a standout in the drama club. Higher education at Duke University, Ohio State University and Capitol Law School prepared him for a managerial career at Ashland Chemical Co. William was married to Susan Kirwan Arnold, and they remained livelong friends. Bill was loved and will be missed by his adult children, William, Lee and Thomas. He had three grandchildren.
