Emily and Ebenezer had one known child before Emily died circa 1862. What happened to husband Ebenezer is currently unknown. The child, Lyman K. Sperry, subsequently called "L. R." Sperry, b. in October 1860 in the Kansasa Territory, was residing in both the 1870 and 1880 census with his maternal grandfather at Lone Oak Twsp, Bates County, MO. By the 1900 census Lyman was an unmarried farmer residing at Jasper Twsp, Jasper County, MO. By 1910 he was residing in Idaho, unmarried, a fruit and nursery farmer. He was still residing at St. Joe Precinct, Benewah County, Idaho in the April 1930 census, unmarried and called 70 years of age.
