Boy Killed.
Fredericksburg, Tex,. Jan. 24.—One of the most shocking accidents that ever happened in this town occurred. Udo Basse, eldest son of Mr. Alfred Basse, one of the most prominent citizens and merchants, and Felix Keller, each about 15 years old, were in the hostler’s room of Keller’s stable, where the latter wanted to show something about a 38-calibre pistol, in handling which he must have touched the trigger and the discharge went through the left side of the unfortunate boy’s abdomen. Medical aid was immediately summoned, but the wound was found to be of so serious a nature that no human aid could help. His life gradually ebbed away until about 2 o’clock when death relieved the poor boy of his sufferings. Udo was a bright and handsome young man, the picture of health and a promising future before him.
