Graduated Hoquiam Hi in 1943. Retired after 30 years as Secretary for Teamster's Union in Aberdeen then Hoquiam. After retirement worked at Grays Harbor Community Hospital for many years. She was an artist, avid birdwatcher, loved reading and sewing especially quilts. Belonged to Audubon Society, loved animals and always had 2 or 3 cats to love. Her only child, Carol died suddenly in 1959 at the age of 6 and was a great loss to her. Jean died tragically in a car accident on Highway 12 in Central Park.
