Mr. James Hillery Graham, age 90, of Minter, passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2009, after an extended illness. The Laurens County native was born in 1919 to the late Tommie and Lena Graham. He was preceded in death by his wife and mother of his children, Theola Chalker Graham; his second wife, Annie Ruth Beacham Graham; and his brother, Tommie Eschol Graham. He was a retired textile mill supervisor and farmer and was a member of Minter Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, James and Linda Graham of Statesboro and David and Patricia Graham of Minter; a daughter and son-in-law, Gayle and Ricks Johnson of Minter; nine grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 4, at the Minter Baptist Church with the Reverend Jerry Martin, the Reverend Mike Mertz and David Graham Jr. officiating. Burial will be in the Graham Family Cemetery.
