Mrs. Mamie Jones Buried Tuesday At Marshallville

Funeral services for Mrs. Mamie Poole Jones, 74, who died Sunday at Peach County Hospital, were held Tuesday at the Fort Valley Methodist Church. Burial was in the MARSHALLVILLE CEMETERY.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. A. D. Joyner of Fort Valley and Mrs. Mary A. Shirley of Morrow; six sons, William Jones and Ted Jones of Fort Valley; Nathan Jones of Tampa, Fla.; Oscar Jones of Warner Robins; Ed Jones of Thomaston; Grady Jones of Nashville, Tenn.; four sisters, Mrs. Clara Antoine, Mrs. P. H. Henderson, Mrs. Annie Arnold, all of Fort Valley; Mrs. Hettie Moore of Moultrie; two brothers, G. C. Poole of Fort Valley and Harry Poole of Marshallville and several grandchildren.

[1910 Houston County census shows her with first husband Wesley Jack Hearn and daughter Wesley Marie. Macon County historian Davine Campbell states that Jack Hearn is buried in an unmarked grave in Marshallville Cemetery.]
