Born February 15, 1922 in Bloomington, IN. she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Fanny Ethel (Polson) Grubb.
Sylvia was a member of Apostolic Bible Church and had worked several years as a house keeper for Bill and Gayle Cook.
She is survived by 5 Children, Kay Sylvester of Bloomfield and her husband Phillip, Wanda Vaught of Bloomfield and her husband Roy, Brenda Shepherd of Bedford, Steven Collins of Jeffersonville and Roy Collins of Ellettsville; 17 grandchildren; several great and great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death, in addition to the parents by her husband, Denzel Collins who died in 2001 and 8 brothers and sisters.
Funeral services were held Friday, June 18, 2010 at Day Funeral home with Rev. Ward Humphrey and Rev. Dewayne Coffman, officiating.
Burial in Salt Creek Cemetery.
