Feb. 23, 1918
Mrs. Anna E. Young, aged 56 years, widow of Edward S. Young and for many years a resident of Fort Wayne, died this morning at the home, 1932 Sinclair street. Death was due to diabetes, following a long illness.
Mrs. Young was born in Indiana November 20, 1861, and had resided in this state her entire life. She was a member of the Bethany Presbyterian church and of Hive No. 6, Women's Benefit association of the Maccabees.
Surviving relatives include the following children: Mrs. W. D. Carpenter, Emmett, Charles and Harold Young, Mrs. Tony Thompson and Mrs. James Ross, all of whom reside in this city. The mother, Mrs. Jane Hazzard and eight brothers and sisters, and five grandchildren also survive.
The funeral services will be conducted at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon at the family home, followed by interment in Lindenwood cemetery.
