Mary Louise Baird, 86, a resident of Fayetteville, Ark., passed away June 16, 2010, in Hospice Care at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Ark., after a brief illness. She was born Jan. 1, 1924, at Memphis, Tenn., the daughter of William Mathias and Elizabeth Ware Taylor.

Mary was a resident of North Hills Life Care and Rehab and a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church. She worked as bookkeeper for American Restaurant Equipment Company from 1980 until retiring in 2000. She formerly worked in the University of Arkansas Food Service Purchasing office for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Baird; her son, John "Sonny" Tackett Jr. and a daughter, Rosemary Baird.

Mary is survived by one daughter, Carolyn Paschal and her husband, Don of Farmington, Ark.; stepson, Gerald Wayne Tackett of Fayetteville, Ark.; stepdaughters, Ginger Harlen of Ohio and Janet Mott of Bella Vista, Ark.; one grandson, Bobby Paschal and his wife Rhonda and great-granddaughter Emily, all of Farmington, Ark.; granddaughter, Elizabeth Ganoung and her husband, Donnie and great-granddaughters, Katherine and Caroline, all of Farmington, Ark.; granddaughter, Brandi Carothers and her husband David and great-grandson, David and great-granddaughters, Katie and Abbey all of Fort Worth, Texas.

Memorial service was held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 2, 2010, at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery in Fayetteville, Ark.
