Carolyn I. "Carrie" Keefer, 103, of Cornwall Manor, died on Thursday, May 27, 2010, at the home. She was born on Tuesday, February 19, 1907, to the late David M. Keefer and Nora Keefer nee Bashore in Bethel Twp. She was a member of Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church. She worked as a registered nurse in the Army in World War II and retired from U.S. Mint as an Occupational Health Nurse after 27 years. Surviving are nieces, Karen Heinle, Larene Stone, Mildred Werner, Barbara Dennis, and Carolyn Reddinger; and several great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by sisters, Dorothy Fake and Florence Daubert; brother, Ammon Keefer; and nephew, Ronald Daubert. Memorial service information will be available through Cornwall Manor. Inurnment will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Fredericksburg, at the convenience of the family. Christman's Funeral Home, Inc. is honored to serve the family with the arrangements.
