CORDOVA FUNERAL MASS YESTERDAY
Funeral mass for Onofre Cordova was held yesterday at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, with Father Walter Cassiday officating.
Cordova passed away Sunday at Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerque following a short illness.
He was born May 14, 1895 at Puerto de Luna and was a rancher and former employee of the City of Santa Rosa.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs Veneranda Cordova of Santa Rosa, five sons, Juan E Cordova of Union City, California, Edwardo Cordova of Santa Rosa, Adan Cordova of Albuquerque, Adolfo Cordova of Albuquerque, and Steven Cordova of Santa Rosa; three daughters, Mrs Alice Baca of Albuquerque, Mrs Rebecca Sandoval of Clovis, and Mrs Amalia Romero of Albuquerque; 32 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; tow brothers, Agapito Cordova of Puerto de Luna and Mariano Cordova of Santa Rosa; tow sisters, Mrs Olympia Sanchez of Bernalillo and Mrs Antonia Hinojos of Albuquerque; and an Aunt, Mrs Antonia Chavez of Dora.
Pallbearers were: Enrique Zamora, Deluvino Chavez, Samuel Valverde, Honorato Flores, Edwardo Gonzales and Allredo Sanchez.
Honorary pallbearers were Condova's grandsons and nephews
Interment was in Our Lady of Refuge Cemetery at Puerto de Luna.
