FRED W. HAU DIES; CHURCH SERVICES SET
Fred W. Hau, 88, resident of Rolling Meadows for the last 21 months and former resident at 100 S. Hickory St., died Sunday at the nursing home following a lingering illness.

Mr. Hau, who resided in Racine for 35 years where he founded the Racine Polishing and Plating Co., was born Oct. 30, 1878, in the Town of Forest, the son of William and Catherine Tuepper Hau.

Following retirement in 1945, he moved to Fond du Lac. He was a member of the St. Mary's Church, Holy Name Society and the Loyal Order of Moose. He married Josephine Frost on June 17, 1903, in the city. She died May 9, 1947.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. J. R. Anderson, Washington, D.C.; two grandchildren; two step-brothers, Kilian and Frank Butz of St. Cloud; and one step-sister, Mrs. Alice Fiss, DePere.

Friends may call after 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home and 9 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, Rt. Rev. Msgr. Henry A. Maurer officiating. Burial will be in the Empire Cemetery.

Funeral services for Fred W. Hau, who died Sunday, were held today at 8:30 a.m. from the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and 9 a.m. from St. Mary's Church, Rt. Rev. Msgr. Henry A. Maurer officiating. Burial was in Empire Cemetery. Pallbearers were Clarence Hau, Roland Hau, Joseph Hau, Lyle Berenz, Fred C. Freund and Orvin Lemke.

Honorary pallbearers from the Holy Name Society were George Anders, Hugo Mahlberg, Gregor Bast and Herman Dreifuerst.
