Jordon and Elizabeth had 10 children. Samuel, Lucinda, Amanda, Mary E, Aaron, D.W.(who died as an infant), Mary C, Melinda, Martha and James. Some where along the family line the spelling was changed to Bolen. I am not positive, but.. the reason for the change in spelling may be due to the fact that Jordon was enlisted as a Dr for the Confederates, and his boys were on the Union side of the Civil War..I personally not found any records to back this up YET. There is a living GG grandson of Jordon who participated in the BFA (Bowing Family Association)DNA test. It is very possible that Jordon's parents were Samuel Bowling 1778-1863 and Elizabeth Bowling 1783-1853.
