Hattie M. Shutt,100, formerly of Ossian, died Saturday, Feb. 5 at Swanee Health Care Center in Live Oak, Fla.Born in Wells County on April 29, 1904 to Emmett and Maryetta Valentine Archbold, she married Fred Shutt on Jan. 8, 1925 in Ossian; he died Jan. 21, 1977. She was a member of the Ossian United Methodist Church.Survivors include a son, Robert L. Shutt of Fort Wayne; a daughter, Mary M. Bragg, The Phillippines; five grandchildren, including Brian Shutt of Ossian; seven great grandchildren; and eight great-great grandchildren.Services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Funeral Home in Ossian, with visitation there two hours prior to the service. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery. Preferred memorials are to the church. Dorie B.
