Funeral services were held at his late home Friday afternoon; interment in the Phoenix Cemetery.
The deceased was a veteran of the Civil War, serving four years as member of the 81st regiment of New York volunteers. He was a member of the Post Schenck G. A. R. of Fulton. After the close of the war he returned to Palermo, where he resided until a short time ago he removed to Fulton to make his home with his grand-daughter, Mrs. Abbey. The deaths of Mr. Pitcher and Mr. Albring on the same day, removes two of the few remaining veterans of that regiment--the 81st--who went out from this county. Both gentlemen showed remarkable vitality and their deaths followed illness of short duration.
