Ann Lucy Rankin Reed was born Ann Lucy Ameche in Kenosha, Wisconsin on May 5, 1925.

Ann attended Mount St. Mary's College in Westwood, California and graduated magna cum laude in 1946. Ann married Wallace Rankin in Encino, California in 1949. They had two daughters, Charlene and Cheryl.

Upon Wallace's death in 1959, Ann found her true calling and became a teacher at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School in Northridge, California, where she taught for thirty years. Ann married Thomas Reed in 1980 who unfortunately passed away in 1985.

She is survived by her two daughters, Charlene Stone and Cheryl Flores; and her three grandchildren, Cory, Melanie and Karen. Ann will be deeply and sorrowfully missed by family and friends.

Funeral Services for Ann will be held on Monday, June 21, 2010 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Northridge, California, where a Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12:30 p.m.
