Lula Childs Shelton, 95, of Harvey's Love and Care Nursing Center, widow of A.J. Shelton, died Friday, Feb. 8, 2002, at Cannons Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Shelton was born in Toccoa, Ga., Stephens County, a daughter of the late Jack and Rebecca Fowler Childs. She was a homemaker and a member of Secona Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Lloyd Shelton and Buford Shelton, both of Pickens; one daughter, Barbara Porter, of Pickens; 19 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Sunday, Feb. 10, 2002, at 1 p.m., in the chapel of Dillard Memorial Custom Funerals. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park and Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12 to 1 p.m., before the service.
