Mrs. Rose May Kuykendall, 80, of Charleston, formerly of Kansas, Ill., died at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday in Charleston Community Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in Harper-Swickard Funeral Home in Charleston. Burial will be in Kansas Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Kuykendall was born December 19, 1879, in Oakland, the daughter of Andrew and Norcissa Ruth Parker Foltz. She married Matthew Simpson Kuykendall, February 24, 1916, (sic 1915) in Oakland. He preceded her in death.
She is survived by one foster daughter, Mrs. Kathryn Foltz Kern of Franklin, Ohio; two sisters, Mrs. Albert Gerard of Charleston and Mrs. Earl Shives of Findlay, Ohio; three foster grandchildren; and four foster great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Kuykendall was a member of the Kansas Methodist Church.
