Timothy Dale (Pete) Martin, 61, passed away January 19, 2007 at 8:05 p.m. at St. John's Continuous Care Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

A Memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 27, 2007 at the Copan United Methodist Church located at 120 N. Maple, Copan, Oklahoma with Bert Todd officiating, Memorial dinner to follow. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.

A memorial has been established with the American Diabetes Association, c/o Sandy Berenson, 6600 S. Yale Suite 1310, Tulsa, Oklahoma 74136-3346 for those who wish to donate in his memory.

He was born July 23, 1945 in Bartlesville, OK to Willard and Alma (Austin) Martin. Pete was raised in the Bartlesville/Dewey area until the family moved to Coos Bay, OR in the late 1940's. They returned to OK where he attended Dewey Schools in the 1950's. Pete was married to Barbara Jean Kilmer in August 1965 in Bartlesville, OK. They moved to Oregon in 1975 where they lived for 32 years. They owned and operated an Adult Foster Home for the State of Oregon from 1989 until Nov. 7, 2006 and served papers for the Support Enforcement Division of the State of Oregon and several law offices for the last 12 years. They retired and were moving back to their hometown of Bartlesville when he suddenly became ill in Ogden, UT. Pete had a passion for old cars, cooking, hunting, fishing, and loved to travel.

Pete is survived by his wife, Barbara Jean Martin, children, Jack and James Martin of Bartlesville, Barbara Ketchum of Bartlesville, and two stepsons, Phil Gaut of Texas and John Gaut of Copan, sisters, Betty Pratz of Oklahoma and Suzy Pugh of Bartlesville, and sister-in-law, Dorothy Martin of Bartlesville. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter and three brothers.
