Johnny Gribble, 79, died Thursday, Dec. 24, at his home.
Services were Sunday, Dec. 27, in the Riley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jackie Buster officiating. Burial was in the China Spring Cemetery in China Spring.
Mr. Gribble was born Oct. 10, 1919, in Gatesville, the son of J.W. and Elbia Leana Pace Gribble. He was married to Linda Murray on Nov. 29, 1966. He was a longtime employee of Trinity Steel Co. of Dallas, where he was a painter. He had lived in Hamilton since 1990.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Ruby Elizabeth Ray, Eula Mae Gray and Dora Dean Werthen, and by a brother, Jack Gribble.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Gribble; three children, Deanna Chaney, James Gribble and John Gribble; and by seven grandchildren, Erika, Kerri and Kyle Chaney, Amanda and Cody Gribble and Diana and Dagan Siepert.
Pallbearers were Walter Jacoby, Alvin Terrell, Josh Terrell, Zach Buster, Thomas Murray and Willard Murray.
