Mother of three: Mary Eileen (Edwards), Alma JoAnn (Parman) and Maynard Joseph(better known as Barney).
She passed at the young age of 28. Her two daughters went to live with Mary's sister Lida and Barney went to live with Mary's brother Charles. Their father Nels moved to Texas to get his life together and asked the in-laws to care for his children. He returned for Barney about 10 years later after remarrying and having more children, but Barney chose to stay with his uncle.
