Annie Bledsoe was the daughter of William Henry Bledsoe and Sallie Ellen Arnold. She became the wife of Henry Raines; they married on January 9, 1895. Annie died from complications of childbirth. Her baby also died; the marriage of the Raines and the death of Annie and her newborn was chronicled by Haughton blacksmith, F.M. Britt in his diary:

She was consistent member of the Methodist church, a devoted wife, an affectionate sister, a doting daughter and an amiable and attractive lady, whose death will be most sincerely mourned in every circle in which she moved.
*Annie Bledsoe Raines and her sister Beulah Bledsoe Raines married brothers: Robert Henry Raines and William Connell Raines. Both men lost their young wives and their children, Annie and son Robert Henry Raines died January 1896; Beulah died in December 1901 and daughter Annie, her sister's namesake, died in October of 1902. It appears both women died from childbirth complications.
