Louis William Abbott 80, of Beech Grove, IN, passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2008.
He was born May 22, 1928 in Chicago, IL to the late Louis and Lauramae (Kuhles) Abbott. Lou attended Lutheran grade school and high school, and earned his degree from the University of Illinois. He was the manager of Slick Airways and Telonic Industries. Also, Lou was the President of Sweep Systems, Wavetek Corp., and CT Systems. In 1992, Lou was awarded the Indiana Electronic Manufacturing Association Distinguished Service Award.
He was a 50-year member of Christ Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 60 years, Margaret (Richmond) Abbott; four sons, Lou (wife, Annette) Abbott, Jr., David (wife, Kristi) Abbott, Richard (wife, Sue) Abbott, Randy (wife, Vickie) Abbott; ten grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Elizabeth Richmond.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 29, 2008 from 4-8 p.m. at Little & Sons Beech Grove Chapel. Funeral services will be Friday, May 30, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Christ Lutheran Church, 345 N. Kitley Ave., Indianapolis, IN 46219. Burial will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Christ Lutheran Church.
