Mrs Willetts taken by death
Resident of Rock Island 45 years succumbs to Hospital; Rite Saturday.
Mrs Rachel Jane Willetts, 81, or 4400 Twelfth street, Rock Island, died at 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon in Rock Island County Convalescent hospital, Coal Valley, after a year's illness. She had resided in Rock Island about forty-five years.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 o'clock tomorrow afternoon in the Knox chapel, the Rev Victor F Witte of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints officiating. Burial will be in Chippiannock cemetery.
Mrs Willetts, the former Rachel Perkins, was born July 27, 1865, in Mineral Ridge, Ohio, a daughter of the late James and Elizabeth Perkins. She was married to William Barnett in 1882, and they lived in the vicinity of Preemption and Viola until moving to Rock Island. Mr Barnett died in September, 1917. On June 22, 1918, Mrs Willetts was married to William Willetts, and he died July 1, 1940.
She also was preceded in death by three sons and a step son. Surviving are six stepson,s Edward Willetts of Port Byron, William of Indianapolis, John C of Racine, Wis, H A. Willetts of Mission, Texas, C D Willetts of Rock Island, and Floyd of Galesburg; a stepdaughter, Mrs F E Cooksey of Galesburg, and a number of step-grandchildren and great grandchildren.


Note- Rachel is buried with first husband William P Barnett and next to her mother Elizabeth and step father James Perkins
