Mrs. Laura Elley Stiffler, widow of Edward Koon Stiffler, died at the home of her son in law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Francis Clabaugh, 2502 Fifth avenue, of complications, at 2 p.m. yesterday. She had not been well for five years, but was seriously ill only one week. Mrs. Stiffler was a daughter of James and Mary Reed, born in Shellsburg, February 24, 1854, and married to Mr. Stiffler at Duncansville, November 4, 1871. She was a member of the First Methodist Episcopal church.

Mr. Stiffler died May 16, 1928. Surviving are six daughters and one son; Mrs. William McCullough, Mrs. Arthur Olewine, Mrs. Randall Joyce, Llyswen; Mrs. Francis McGarth, Cleveland, O.; Mrs. Frank Clabaugh, Miss Nellie Stiffler, Altoona; Lloyd E. Stiffler, Reading; two sisters and two brothers; Mrs. John Peck, Wilkinsburg; Mrs. Chalres King, Harrisburg; John R. and Edward Reed, Altoona.

Funeral service will be held at the Clabaugh home Thursday, 2:30 p.m. followed by interment in Greenwood cemetery.
