Earl Hartsell

READINGTON TWP. -- Earl P. Hartsell died Tuesday, July 19, 2005, at home. He was 75.

Born in Bayonne, son of Mearmon and Jeanette Kenny Hartsell, he lived in Readington Township since his retirement from the Air Force in 1974.

He had served in the military since 1947, including service in the Berlin Air Lift and in Vietnam. He retired with the rank of chief master sergeant.

After that, Mr. Hartsell was a production manager for Vitek Electronic in Middlesex.

He was a member of Bethlehem Presbyterian Church.

He enjoyed fishing and hunting.

A brother, Richard of Pittstown died in 2001.

Mr. Hartsell is survived by his wife of 53 years, Gertraud Fensterl Hartsell; a son, Gene of San Jose, Calif.; a daughter, Patricia Cakirer of Pittsburgh; a brother, Gene of Pittstown; and five grandchildren.

Visitation hours are set for July 21 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Scarponi-Bright Funeral Home, Lebanon. Services will take place July 22 at 11 a.m. at the Bethlehem church, followed by burial in Evergreen Cemetery in Clinton.
