John David Bell, Sr.

John David Bell, Sr., 61, of Blackshear died Monday morning (June 14, 2010) at Satilla Regional Medical Center after a brief illness. He was born in Waycross to the late Alton Van Bell, Sr. and Almeade Booth Bell. Mr. Bell lived here all of his life where he worked for the Ware County EMS for 37 years. He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Alton Van Bell, Jr.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Jannette Lee Bell, Blackshear; one daughter, Angela Denise Bell, Corpus Christi, TX; one son, John David Bell, Jr., Great Falls, MT; one sister-in-law, Terrie Thomas, Taylor, TX; one nephew, the son of Alton Van Bell, Jr.; two nieces, the daughters of Terrie Thomas; six great-nieces and nephews the grandchildren of Terrie Thomas, and other relatives.
A graveside service was held Tuesday afternoon at Oakland Cemetery with Mark Walker and Jerry Weathersby officiating. Honorary Pallbearers were the Ware County Ambulance Service.
