Clara Anna Claypole, 75, Orrick, died June 10, 2010, at the Liberty Hospital.

Mrs. Claypole was born February 26, 1935 in Sugar Creek, to Louis and Clara (Luechmeir) Caswell.

She married Shirley G. Claypole of Orrick on March 21, 1952. They had been married for 58 years. He survives, of the home.

Other survivors include three sons and a daughter-in-law, Rick Claypole of Orrick, Randy Claypole of Richmond, and Alan and Tobie Claypole of Orrick; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Bud, Don, Bill, and Richard Caswell; and three sisters, JoAnn Housh, Neva McKinney, and Elaine Brizendine.

Mrs. Claypole was a homemaker. She lived most of her life in Orrick. She was of the Christian faith. She was a cook at the Dukes II and Dommick's in Richmond and also Danners and Vena Bells in Orrick. She was a volunteer for Salvation Army.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the National Ataxia Foundation.
Funeral services were June 14, at the Thurman Funeral Home, Richmond, with burial in Cravens Cemetery, Camden.
