Mr. Victor Lee Fugate, Sr., 72, of Hamptonville died Sunday, June 13, 2010 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, Winston-Salem.
He was born in November 18, 1937 in Oklahoma City, OK; son of the late Truman and Naomi Bortz Fugate. He was a U. S. Army veteran and a master electrian.
A celebration of life service will be conducted at 11:00 A. M. Thursday, June 17, 2010 at Salisbury National Cemetery in Salisbury, NC with Rev. Fred Moretz officiating. Burial will follow. Military honors given by Yadkin County Honor Guard, Post # 10346.
Survivors include his two sons; Douglas Fugate of Texas and Victor Lee Fugate, Jr. of the home,

Victor is a dear friend of mine. We both lived in the country and close to each other at Swink, OK and went to high school at Fort Towson, OK. We shared many good times together while in high school. - Roger Strain
