Jack E. Risinger is the son of Willie C. Risinger and Ethel M. (Kimmons) Risinger. He married Dorothy Inez Hinsley on May 13, 1941 in Greenville, Hunt County, Texas.

THE PARIS NEWS, Thu., Mar. 2, 1995, p. 12A: 'Jack E. Risinger, 79, 2006 Bonham St., died at 3:35 a.m. Wednesday, March 1, 1995, in McCuistion Regional Medical Center. Services will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, March 3, in Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Don Shovan officiating. Burial will be in Union Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Mr. Risinger was born Nov. 20, 1915, in the Walnut Ridge community of Lamar County, a son of Willie C. and Ethel M. Kimmons Risinger. He graduated from school in Powderly and served in the Navy during World War II. He married Dorothy Hinsley in Greenville May 13, 1941. He worked as a supervisor for Davis Canning Co. in Atwater, CA 20 years before retiring in 1967. He moved to Detroit in 1965 and to Paris in 1982. He had ranched in Red River County since moving to this area and was a member of the Methodist church. Surviving are his wife; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jackie and Gloria Risinger of Paris and Larry and Diane Risinger of Madera, CA; two daughters and sons-in-law, Phyllis and Mickey Huggins of Paris and Beverly and Olen Coleman of Detroit; eight grandchildren, Kelly McKinney, Mike Risinger, and Holly Huggins, all of Paris; Shelli Greer and Scotty Coleman of Detroit; Jason Huggins of Denton, Justin and Brian Risinger of Madera, CA; three great-grandchildren, Stoner, Asa and Jay McKinney, all of Paris; a sister, Corene Parks of Paris; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Neil Risinger, in 1984. Pallbearers will be Billy Parks, Gary Armstrong, Glen (Bud) Dobbs, Charles Owens, Dale Miller and Paul Coleman. Honorary pallbearers will be the six grandsons.
