Betty was born on October 21, 1940 in Jackson to the late A.G. and Marie Brinkley. She lived in Memphis most of her life where she worked in payroll for the Kroger Company for over 40 years. She was a member of First Assembly of Cordova, TN. She will be remembered as the leader of the family, and a loving mother and grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, Ricky Vaughn and James Eric Bullington; and her brother, Charles Brinkley.
She is survived by her son, Gary Vaughn (Lori) of Jackson; three grandchildren, Jesse Vaughn, Megan Vaughn, and Chad Williams (Cory); and well as a great granddaughter, Alayna Williams.
The family will receive friends and loved ones on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at the South Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm with burial in Clover Creek Cemetery in Medon.
