The daughter of John David "Jack" Reeves and Elizabeth Anna Presley, Sarah married James P. Tannehill on 09 Jul 1882 in Calhoun County, Illinois. They were the parents of 8 children.

James Tannehill died between 1897 and 1900.

Sarah married James Wilson on 01 Aug 1906 in Calhoun. He had been married before and was the father of 7 children, although they were not all living by the time of Sarah and James' wedding.

The Wilsons moved to Lincoln County, Missouri and were the parents of 2 children before moving back to Calhoun County.

Children from second marriage: 2 daughters.

Sarah died at her home 8 miles south of Hardin following a long illness. At the time of her death, she was 72 years, 4 months and 3 days old.

Funeral services were conducted 2:30 p.m. on the afternoon of 20 Mar 1940 at the Batchtown Methodist Church. She was survived by her second husband, James Wilson, who passed away in 1946.
