Mr. W. B. Evans called on us last Saturday and gave us the particulars of the burning of the residence and goods of Jonas Spraker, east of Wesley Chapel, on Friday last, at about 2 P.M. The origin of the fire is supposed to have been a defective flue. Some of the family were at home, but in a part of the house where the fire was not discovered by them until teh whole second story was ablaze. When assistance came, it was too late to save anything, except a few bed lothes from one of the lower rooms. There was no insurance on the house or contents.
