He was a member of Ain Missionary Baptist Church and Sheridan Masonic Lodge #260. He was a retired Carman for the Cotton Belt Railroad.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Vera Plunkett Wardlaw; two brothers, Loyd and James Wardlaw, and a sister, Frances Fielding.
He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Sheila Wardlaw of Russellville; one brother and sister-in-law, J.W. and Anna Mae Wardlaw of Pine Bluff; two grandchildren, Jeremy Wardlaw of Lincoln, Neb., Andrea Garner, her husband, Brad, and one great-granddaughter, McKenzie Reavis of Clinton, Ind.
He will be remembered as a kind and caring man with a sense of humor who always tried to help others.
