Dr. Otho Hooker

LEXINGTON, Miss.—Dr. Otho Douglas Hooker, 58, prominent Holmes County physician and business man died Sunday afternoon, September 28, in the Baptist Hospital at Memphis.

Services were held Tuesday, September 30, at 2 p. m. at his residence with the Rev. A. Brown, pastor of the Methodist Church, officiating. Burial was in the Lexington cemetery.

The son of the late Henry S. and Ella Beall Hooker, he was born at Lexington on October 28, 1888. He was graduated from Tulane University Medical College in 1912 and for the past several years was engaged in farming and other business enterprises. He was a steward and trustee in the Methodist Church for many years. Dr. Hooker was also a Mason.

He leaves his wife, Kathleen Wilburn Hooker, a. son, Wilburn H. Hooker, a daughter, Mrs. Kenna Ellis, a brother, Walter Hooker, all of Lexington and three sisters, Mrs. Lucille Fuqua, Mrs. Beall Small and Mrs. Hattie Witty, all of Winona.
