Bud was born in Toddville, Iowa, the son
of Jacob and Bertha Oliphant Heefner. He
married Faye McBurney in January 1945
in Toddville. She died Nov. 1974. He then
married Darlene Hall in May 1981 in Des
Moines, Iowa. Bud was an electrician for
Longview Fibre Co. in Cedar Rapids, Iowa,
retiring in 1988. He was a member of First
Baptist Church in Marion, Iowa, where he
was a trustee for over 20 years.

spending time with family and friends. Bud
served in the Navy during world War II as
a pharmacy mate.
