FORT WORTH -- Billy Morris Davis, 78, a retired aircraft mechanic, died Sunday, April 15, 2001, in Fort Worth. Funeral: 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at Greenwood Chapel. Burial: Greenwood Memorial Park. Memorials: Ridglea West Baptist Church Van Fund, (817) 732-2876. Billy Morris Davis was born March 21, 1923, in Silver City, N.M. He served in the Merchant Marines in Europe during World War II. He was an active member of Ridglea West Baptist Church for 25 years where he served as deacon. Billy retired from Bell Helicopter in 1990. Survivors: Beloved wife, Coline "Tommie" Davis; children, Grant Davis and wife, Barbara, Graham Davis and wife, Carolyn, Deborah Taylor and husband, Robert, Auna Walton and husband, John, and Wayne D. Slover and wife, Mary; grandchildren, Lauren Wright, David and Martha Davis, Kari and Larry McConn, Steven Walton, Amy and Bain Walling, Stephen and Tyree Lindsey, Lisa and Robert Cauthen, Bethany and David Hunt, Karla Hoover, Brett and Julie Slover, Gary Slover, Curtis and Holly Davis and Robert Davis; great-grandchildren, Lauren, Brent, Brooke, Ashley, Kelsey, Kendall, Spencer, Brittney, Courtney, Hayley, Travis, Casey and Candy; sister, Lucile Verner of Brownwood; nephews, Carl and Holly Mohr and David and Fran Mohr; and his special dog, Osceola.
