His mother was visiting friends & family in Canada when he was born. He was in N. Yakima, Washington when he died. He married Olive Caroline Noice(Noyce) on Nov. 16, 1848.( This is from her diary)

Death of A. W. Howard.

Albert W. Howard died here at his home on North First street Saturday morning of old age. The deceased was 82 years of age and leaves an aged wife, besides seven children, all of whom are married. Two of the sons, A. E. Howard, the contractor who built the opera house, the Ditter block and several other of the most important buildings in the city, and Frank Howard, a carpenter, are both very well known here.

The deceased was a native of New York and lived there until he came here in 1903 to join his sons, and has lived here since that time.

The funeral will be held at the undertaking parlors of A. J. Shaw & Sons today, the hour not having been decided upon at the time of writing. Interment will be in Tahoma cemetery.
