Linda Lou (Williams) Harter, age 69, peacefully passed away Thursday, June 10, 2010, surrounded by her family.
She was born on July 18, 1940, in Sleeper, Mo. She attended Marion C. Early High School in Morrisville, Mo. Linda married Robert Thomas Harter in the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Billings, Mo., on June 10, 1960. She enjoyed cooking, canning, sewing, and spending time with family. Her true passion was quilting, and she expressed this talent, and her infinite creativity, in the numerous colorful and intricately designed quilts, which she now leaves behind.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Hazel Pruitt; her father, John Williams; sisters, Pat Angst and Mabel Williams; a brother, William E. Williams, Sr.; step brother, Francis Peterson; aunt, Ardith Williams; uncle, Farrell Williams; and other beloved family members and friends.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Robert, and her daughter, Gayla Harter, both of Billings, Mo.; daughter, Donna Harter Raab and her husband Kenneth A. Raab, Jr.; granddaughter, Jami Raab; and grandson, Jordan Raab, all of Fredericksburg, Va.; her sisters, Mildred Mack, of Rogersville, Mo., Mary Stacy and husband Dale, and Lois Jean Lacey and husband James, all of Republic, Mo.; her brothers and spouses, Robert and Clarice Williams, Springfield, Mo., Sonny and Sue Pruitt, Mechanicsville, Va., and Danny Joe and Linda Pruitt, Lebanon, Mo.; step sister, Ann Reeves, state of California; a step brother, Clarence Peterson, Lebanon, Mo.; a brother in law, Wilb Harter, Billings, Mo.; sister in law, Lucille Skaggs, Irving, Texas; and many close nieces; nephews; cousins; and special friends.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m., Sunday, June 13, 2010 in Meadors Funeral Home, Billings, Mo. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. , Monday, June 14, 2010, in the funeral home. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery, Billings.
